Nella vallata dove sono solito uscire in "caccia fotografica" sono stimate poche decine di cervi maschi adulti. Non ero mai riuscito nemmeno a vederli (figurarsi a fotografarli) nel periodo in cui ostentano il palco in velluto, al punto da credere che in primavera-estate si dissolvessero o che (più probabilmente...) si spostassero in vallate adiacenti. Una bella mattina di inizio luglio, mentre il sole si alza e inizia a baciare le praterie verdeggianti su quota 2500 m, proprio mentre esco dal fitto di un lariceto, la meraviglia mi si materializza davanti: uno splendido esemplare coronato si ritira dai pascoli notturni procedendo altero proprio nella mia direzione... #wild #parco del monviso
