I admit that I am neither a practitioner nor an expert in birdlife, but allow me an observation: perhaps a 70-300 even at the maximum focal length seems to me a bit limited to better resume the chosen subjects, which in fact are too small and almost lost in the landscape, a longer focal length would certainly guarantee you more satisfactory results.

Hello Leonardo,
thanks for the advice.
I had stopped at the Park to photograph dragonflies and with that perspective I have always felt good.
This scene was filmed by pure chance and I shot as I could, also because I could not get too close as it is an open field without any shelter or shed.
More than the technique in my opinion these shots are important for an ethological and behavioral question, and for the fact that one of the males in question is not a pure "colchicus" but certainly a cross of several races that then gave as a result a pheasant very similar to versicolor.
That said, thanks again for the observations, to have it a more performing optics!
