La tecnologia delle protesi è applicata ormai con successo anche in ambito veterinario. Così mi è sembrato interessante trovare un animale amputato da ritrarre insieme a una delle modelle umane. Tramite un lungo giro di contatti dagli Stati Uniti sono arrivata a trovare l'ottimo dr. Takayuki Kobayashi proprietario dell'omonima clinica veterinaria a Saitama, una delle più importanti del Paese. Con generosità Kobayashi si è fatto in quattro per permettermi di ritrarre Wato, un cane di piccola taglia con la zampa anteriore destra amputata a causa di un tumore e cieco da un occhio, a cui ha applicato una piccola protesi. Negli scatti con Masami ho cercato di stabilire una connessione tra i due soggetti. Il dottore ha anche acconsentito a farsi ritrarre con il suo camice da chirurgo.
