Avevo perso le speranze per fare un uscita nel mese di gennaio, ma in extremis le previsioni davano poco nuvoloso con una situazione notturna buona. Però il freddo pungente con assieme il vento avrebbe creato delle difficoltà non da poco al mio viaggio che non mi avrebbero mai fermato nel mio progetto ambizioso di conquistare due cime consecutive con la permanenza in tenda per due notti. Avevo già fatto un sopralluogo per verificare le mie capacità atletiche come se il giro fosse fattibile per raggiungere la mia meta, la forcella Lavaredo sulle Tre Cime. Ovvio che avevo due piani di riserva se le cose non fossero andate per il verso giusto. Nel viaggio in auto due cose mi spaventavano la temperatura che scendeva e la quantità di neve caduta che più mi avvicinavo al punto di partenza più mi accorgevo che dovevo passare al piano B, dove sarei arrivato nelle vicinanze del Rifugio Auronzo, per posizionare la tenda nel modo che avevo visto un paio di settimane prima in un punto panoramici a picco sulla valle. Le temperature basse è il vento forte in quota hanno creato dei bei problemi come non togliere neppure gli sci per scattare visto il metro abbondante di neve fresca. Tutte queste problematiche rafforzavano la mia gioia di vivere questo tramonto da solo in perfetta armonia con l'ambiente
