Si comincia a camminare nella prima luce del giorno sotto una pioggia fitta e gelata: le cime attorno sono bianche e spiccano in contrasto col bruno scuro dei pendii sottostanti... Sono un po' demotivato ma dopo circa due ore di cammino la pioggia comincia ad affievolirsi e compaiono le prime chiazze di azzurro nel cielo, i larici rosseggianti prendono colore: in lontananza vedo il posteriore di una coppia di caprioli, proprio ai margini di una radura d'alta quota come avrei sperato. L'aria è limpida e i suoni sono molto nitidi, se scatto adesso so che se la darebbero a gambe. Strisciando al suolo riesco ad arrivare molto vicino, quando sento di non potermi spingere oltre, mi sollevo di colpo, e punto l'obiettivo: mi sarei aspettato il tipico abbaio, o una espressione spaventata, ed invece... mi stava facendo la linguaccia! ;)
