Glossy Ibis

The Glossy Ibis (Glossy Ibis 60 x 90 cm) is rare, marsh nesting in southeastern Europe, in colonies in reed beds or sometimes on trees. The immature stray too much from the nursery areas in September-October. The beak curved, blackish plumage completely from a distance, from close up head and body brown, greenish wing in part, a thin white line at the base of the beak. In winter dress head and neck are nearly blacks, adorned with small white spots. Similar in immature plumage, but less obvious spots and upper parts brownish. Fly in linear formations, with wing beats as fast as the Curlew, interspersed with short glides, much like a Pygmy Cormorant (from a distance you can get confused). In flight, the neck is tense. The voice is loud and harsh

I confirm: this is a Glossy Ibis. Of course I did not photograph them only to 200mm allows us to better observe some reflection color. Ever thought about reviewing your kit sacrificing some piece? example: canon 17-40mm + 24-105mm + 100-400mm. Inexpensive alternative: kenko extender pro 300 dgx that turns your 70-200mm f 4 98-280mm in f.5, 6 and shared 100% with the 100mm macro (140mm wow).
