Sicuramente il “risultato non è esaltante” avendo un carattere più documentaristico, anche se Riccardo ha colto la mia immancabile vena sentimentale quando si tratta della mia terra e del mio fiume. Il bianco e nero rispetta la delicatezza della scena che ho visto: gli alberi sullo sfondo erano velati di una leggera foschia, ma totalmente inutile per dissetarli… Il primo piano sembra acqua ma è sabbia, sulla quale l'acqua ha impresso i suoi caratteri, ma non c'è. In verità è presente solo in quella piccola pozzanghera centrale sul bordo basso del fotogramma. Sembra una scena quasi idilliaca, ma è il rispettoso e amorevole documento di un dramma.
