Marmolada - Act 1 sent on July 08, 2022 (0:06) by Gios. 88 comments, 1904 views.

You have documented with this scan from give all the drama that has been consumed in the last 37 years, at the height of the collapse of the serracco last Sunday.
I'm afraid it will not be an isolated case, unfortunately unheard the words for years on climate change we will see some "beautiful"
Thank you Gios for having made me understand how much we are going to meet our self-destruction, but do not worry, Mars and space is waiting for us :-(
Greetings, Loris

Unspeakable (for lexical decency) stupidity.
Now the electron beggars think of reopening old coal-fired power plants, that is, with primary energy ..... fossil that only in a modest percentage would be transformed into electricity. The greatest part of the transformation will be heat ceded to the sparrows and added to the unstoppable growth of entropy.
Just an example of in process however irreversible.
Two September 2002, Johannesburg. One of the very few sensible speeches delivered by a politician: "Notre maison brûle et nous regardons ailleurs....." It was pronounced by Jacques Chirac at the plenary assembly of the Fourth Earth Summit (it was not a condominium meeting, they were there on purpose for that). Result....?
However, the process is irreversible.
It's over!

Really interesting Gios, I was at the top of the Marmolada back in 1972 (with the cable car of course ...) and the situation was very different from the current one . ...
We hope that the process of warming our planet will stop or at least slow down, otherwise future generations will unfortunately have big problems to face ...

I remember well querl period; in 1986, a young and enthusiastic neophyte, I reached the first dolomite peak just going up the ice road!

The comparison between the limits of the glacial front in about thirty years is dramatic. Thank you for posting. Unfortunately, for years we have been talking about climate change due to man but only words are made! Hello. Magú

Thank you Gios for the very interesting document you posted, testimony of the tragic evolution
of the instability of our territory due to climate change (and not only), changes that
in a fragile environment like the mountain one are more highlighted and very
easily result in tragedy like the one we sadly witness in these days in the media.
Many compliments for your sharing accompanied by an excellent caption.

Seeing the Queen of the Dolomites crying so many lives is heartbreaking. The fault is certainly not of the mountain, we are the culprits, some more, some less. We must always escape a tragedy to be aware of environmental problems (and not only). But, after the clamor, it is easy to forget and continue as if nothing had happened. The interests of the planet are perceived exclusively as "economic interests", it does not matter if it is destroyed inexorably!
Thank you, Gios, for documenting the inexorable retreat of the glacier and for making us think.
