Dark times.... sent on May 22, 2022 (13:11) by Memy. 19 comments, 900 views.

, 1/400 f/4.0, ISO 400,

Very particular shot, with a beautiful light, for me.
But what happened to him to this beautiful lion?

Thanks RedCharlie
As I wrote after your intervention, the wound is due to a large snare put by poachers that fortunately had been removed the week before.

The photography is beautiful for light and composition.
Reading your caption and explanation I can only be saddened by human ignorance and hope for a positive change.
Congratulations

Poaching is a consequence of colonialism.
In short, it is not difficult to attribute blame.

Thank you very much to all !!!!!!
Unfortunately, poaching is a lurking problem.
Usually the laces for the meat of the forest were a problem of the border areas, the fact that there are signs in one of the inland and most frequented areas is certainly not a good sign. Surely, at least in those areas, the recovery of tourism will put a brake on this phenomenon that is very difficult to solve at the root....
