It was from this spring I had in mind a trip to Sorapiss ... not perhaps the best known and most visited lake in the Dolomites but for me it is definitely one of the most beautiful and fascinating I've ever seen, especially for its incredible color makes it unique and the famous Finger of God is reflected in its heavenly waters.
Unfortunately, it is difficult to find optimal lighting conditions to photograph, is located in a valley surrounded by rocky walls and the best time is to photograph the sunrise. I had never been there and not knowing how they would lit the tops, I decided to get to the shores of the lake a little before dawn to photograph even the moments before the rising of the sun which in some cases may be even more striking ( thanks to the light already hot but more uniform and not direct sunlight). The dawn was reallyffascinante also find the fact that in absolute silence and peace in an almost surreal.
The photo was taken 20 minutes before sunrise when the very first light, much broader and less direct, allowed the peaks of color more evenly than a beautiful pink, and it was for me the best time ... the rise of sun lit up the red enrosadira unfortunately only a small portion of the peaks of reducing a lot of my expectations deludendomi a bit.
Overall, however, despite not having brought home the picture I had in mind, the experience and the emotions experienced were really strong but unfortunately at that time the light did not allow me to valirizzare the main feature of the pond that is its color .. who knows maybe I will return in the future!
Era da questa primavera che avevo in mente una gita al Sorapiss...non sarà forse il laghetto più conosciuto e visitato delle Dolomiti ma per me è sicuramente uno tra i più suggestivi e affascinanti che abbia mai visto, soprattutto per il suo incredibile colore che lo rende davvero unico e il per il famoso Dito di Dio che si rispecchia nelle sue acque celesti.
Purtroppo però è difficile trovare condizioni di luce ottimali per fotografarlo, si trova in una conca circondato da pareti rocciose e l'ora migliore per fotografarlo è l'alba. Un pernottamento in rifugio è quindi d'obbligo se si vuole trovare la condizione di luce migliore. Non ci ero mai stato e non sapendo come si sarebbero illuminate le cime, decisi di arrivare alle sponde del laghetto un pò prima dell'alba in modo da fotografare anche gli istanti prima del sorgere del Sole che in alcuni casi possono anche essere più suggestivi (grazie alla luce già calda ma più uniforme e non diretta dei raggi solari). L'alba è stata davvero affascinante anche per il fatto di trovarmi nel silenzio più assoluto e in una pace quasi surreale.
La foto è stata scattata 20 minuti prima del sorgere del Sole quando la primissima luce, più diffusa e meno diretta, ha permesso alle cime di colorarsi più uniformemente di un bel rosa, ed è stato per me il momento migliore...al sorgere del Sole il rosso dell'enrosadira purtroppo ha illuminato solo una piccola porzione delle cime riducendo di parecchio le mie aspettative deludendomi un pò.
Nel complesso però pur non avendo portato a casa la foto che avevo in mente, l'esperienza e l'emozioni vissute sono state davvero forti anche se purtroppo a quell'ora la luce non mi ha permesso di valirizzare la caratteristica principale del laghetto che è il suo colore..chissà magari ci ritornerò in futuro!
