Skender Hello! here, I figured it was a photo "Summer":-D that you have taken if I'm not mistaken is the southern part of the Milky Way should be as bright as it is full of gas. Consult Stallarium the same portion in this month of April is visible around 4 am wow! ... it is still cold and the time it is impossible for me:-D:-D:-D Congratulations for other astronomical photographs you posted and I follow with interest. Hello soon :-)

Thank you William, you are right the south or the center of the Milky Way, the right time to photograph the milky way would be by the end of May onwards with times more comfortable! However, this demonstration and even for someone who wants to start taking pictures the starry sky with inexpensive equipment!

What you say is true, just a little patience and forethought, I'm sorry but I have to make a few more questions, the photo you treated PP with Lightroom? if you remember, mica you set the white balance? and if so, do you remember of that value? I have read that many times to shoot the Milky Way should set the white balance to 3300K or so and then not having to PP, this, for example, if you wanted to make a time lapse of the Milky Way without an equatorial mount, or inversely on a tracker Equatorial get a stack of photos .... in a nutshell I'm trying to figure out how to set the settings to do a time lapse of the Milky Way:-D Hello and thanks Skender! :-)

Hello Beppe, when you do this kind of images you that the machine is set to zero parameters ie white balance A, 800 iso, bulb, if you have a pursuit! Otherwise 30 25 seconds with normal tripod according to the focal length used! Instead timelaps for the machine on a tripod, shutter speed 30 seconds, then if the light pollution does not bother you then set a 800 iso needs to be done at least 2 hours so many poses see a nice arc then you download the software startrails version 1.1 and in 2 minutes you get the beautiful night scenery! I hope I have been helpful if maybe you need I'm available, hello to you soon!

I'm sorry with regard to the noise of this photo I have not used any noise suppression filter, or else run the famous dark, flat and bias, so the noise is drastically reduced!

Skender Hello, you've been very clear, unfortunately my 450D is quite noisy at ISO 1600, even with short exposure. I was considering at this point to make a quantum leap with a 5D mk3 soon as I can afford it. A follower I have it but it is a motorized EQ3.2, too heavy and bulky for where I want to take her along, it takes me a chaser light and practical type Astrotrak or similar, I think my 055XPROB tripod with ball head Mafrotto 498 -RC2 can support them fine as the maximum capacity is around 8 kg. The shutter speeds that I used to shoot the Milky Way were 30 seconds max to 1600 with the Samyang 14mm, giving more time equivalent crawl the stars, with a car less noisy you could use even less time but with double the ISO , unless as you say, use a tracker lowering the ISO and stretchtime more than 60 seconds and maybe take a stack of photos with flat and darks. Startrails do not know, you were right to suggerirmelo, we now give a look and try to understand how it works, until now I used Deep Sky Tracker and Registax. If anything, then you write it in private if I need help. Hello and thanks again Skender, see you soon, Joe. ;-)

Sorry if I'm intruding, but I find the picture very well managed by the equipment you used. :-P
I love it astrophotography, but not having the equipment and not having adequate technical knowledge about it, I just simply do some Startrail but also to see the shots of others. :-D
Seeing the result can I ask you some what is it?:
- The shot was made hill or a place without light pollution?
- The amount of shots you made with software such as Iris or simply Photoshop by combining layers via lighten?
- For the reduction of noise you tried the functions of PhotoShop:> File> Scripts> Load Files into Stack> lines and creates a Smart Object> levels> Smart Object method> media?

Thanks in advance and still comlimenti to the result obtained in other your photos.
Regards, Michael.

Hello Michael, thanks for the compliments, this photo was made with a sky really great and it was very challenging in the sense that, I put the machine on a packet of rice to keep her still later with the iris I aligned and then summed so good without the dark, flat and bias, and after that with the finishing touches with PS with filters I tried to fix it the best!
hello
Skender!

Spectacular photo. I wanted to ask how did you focus on the milky way since the mf dial of the target in question has no marked distances?
