Avevo ormai dichiarato conclusa la giornata, spesa a "caccia" del gipeto, ed ero già tornato in albergo a farmi una birra. Incuriosito dalla luce del tramonto, sono uscito e ho visto in lontananza due maschi di stambecco che si stavano allontanando. Gli sono corso dietro e ho passato le ultime luci del giorno al loro fianco mentre brucavano placidamente. Al termine, si sono spostati verso un luogo più riparato. Ho fatto appena in tempo a mettere su il 100-400 mentre il cielo si infuocava, indietreggiando cercando di creare una composizione adatta. A ISO 12800, la R6 si comporta comunque in maniera decente, e sono molto contento di questa foto non solo per l'aspetto "artistico", quanto alla storia che collegherò per sempre a questa immagine: due stambecchi anziani che si attardano a mangiare e pazientemente mi permettono di stare al loro fianco senza andarsene. Una gioia infinita che mi scalda ancora adesso il cuore.
