Dopo la parte di sottobosco facile quasi un percorso da disabili sciatori, mi ritrovo alla partenza della parete dove non esistevano tracce, ma solo 110 di neve fresca. Tutta la cresta era spazzata dal vento oltre gli 80 km/h che con il mio carico sulle spalle mi sbilanciava visto la forte pendenza del pendio. Ormai conosco i miei limiti come la mia forza di volontà, ma qui a malincuore il rischio era troppo elevato il dover rinunciare ti lascia sempre una forte delusione di sconfitta. Dopo questa rinuncia dovevo trovare un punto di scatto decente per il tramonto senza scindere troppo di quota, ma da buon osservatore avevo intravisto uno spiazzo tra le due valli dove il Vaia aveva deciso di aprire un varco. Come il mio solito qui ho cercato di essere veloce è deciso su cosa fare visto che poi avrei dovuto rientrare con la frontale in un percorso diverso dalla salita. Il tempo di neppure 4 scatti che i colori del tramonto svanivano, dando una colorazione al cielo di viola e magenta. Peccato non aver avuto il mio Super Gitzo visto che il rischio di mosso era presente su tutte le foto per una posizione non troppo stabile della superficie di appoggio.
