Risalendo da S. Pietro la strada che conduce al centro, si scorge sulla destra la casa parrocchiale del XV- XVI secolo. Davanti a questa si trova una fontana con un mascherone e decorazioni scolpite nel marmo di Ardesio. Poco oltre si può ammirare l'imponenza della Chiesa Parrocchiale: l'ingresso dal sagrato è ornato da due spalle poliscili che apparterrebbero alla prima pieve del 1176. Nel 1455, il vescovo Baronzio favorì la costruzione di una nuova chiesa, che nel Seicento venne adornata di affreschi e stucchi. La chiesa attuale con le ampie volte in tufo di Nasolino venne iniziata nel 1737 e terminata nella sua struttura essenziale un decennio dopo, nel 1747. Per tutto il resto del secolo la chiesa venne arricchita di artistiche cappelle, di preziosi quadri e di molteplici arredi e suppellettili. Il campanile, eretto nel 1487 in pietra locale, venne sopraelevato nel 1871 e completato da un bulbo in rame. S. Giorgio è il patrono di Ardesio e si festeggia il 23 aprile.
