Questa immagine è presente, insieme a molte altre, nel mio libro intitolato “Dove una volta c'era il Tibet”, un diario di viaggio pieno di ricordi, emozioni, e istanti catturati in eterno in un Paese lontano, nel tempo e nello spazio. Una sintesi di una terra piena di storia e cultura, scorci di un mondo ancora incontaminato e puro, ma tuttavia colmo di contraddizioni e problemi, il Tibet. Nazione antica, millenaria, eppure a rischio di scomparire in pochi anni, invasa dalla Cina e dalla sua cultura, in bilico, sospesa tra la voglia di mantenere la propria identità e le attrattive di una vita comoda e piena di modernità occidentali. Un diario di viaggio che racconta quelle che potrebbero essere le ultime testimonianze di antiche tradizioni, ormai prossime al mito, perse nella nebbia dei ricordi in un mondo illuminato dalle insegne al neon e dagli schermi degli immancabili smartphone. www.oltrelameta.it
