La Fiat 850 Sport Coupè fu costruita dal 1968 al 1971 e andò a sostituire la 850 Coupè 1° Versione (1965-1968). Il suo motore... posizionato posteriormente... era un 4 cilindri in linea di 903 cm3 erogante 52 cavalli di potenza che facevano raggiungere alla vettura una velocità massima superiore ai 145 chilometri orari. Nel 1971 alla carrozzeria verrà effettuato un restyling e i 4 fari anteriori diventeranno tutti dello stesso diametro. Diverse di queste vetture vennero elaborate da esperti preparatori fra cui si possono ricordare la torlnese Abarth e la Giannini Automobili S.p.a. di Roma per poter partecipare alle competizioni. Venne costruita anche in Spagna dall Seat che all'epoca era una consociata della Fiat.
