, Posa B f/5.0, ISO 1600, tripod.

Scatti fatti a gennaio 2021, Bortle 5.5

It's much better than the first try.
Some little advice: make the flats and do the biases as well, set iso 800 and just a few shots with shorter poses x do not saturate the core, between 1 pose and the next let the machine rest x at least 1/3 of the exposure, then I see a problem of alignment to the pole. I also think you walked near the equipment because you notice jumps that caused you double stars. X eliminate rain noise you also need to integrate much more. X the rest you're on the right track.

thank you very much, always well accepted advice, also because in this field I am a newphyte moooolto.
I didn't write them, but I did both flats and biases. In between shots I always leave at least 10 seconds. Otherwise you are right (not precise polar alignment - now I took the laser, because with the minitrack tube it is a tribulation). Of course you have an eye to see the double stars!
thane again.

Figurati Mauro is always a pleasure among astrophiles. But if you did the flat qcs it's not right... resume with histogram that touches the peak and the max in half?

for flats I usually keep the peak of the bell in the third quarter of the first half, so that the descending part goes to intersect half (not in the center then)

I really like these photos that portray the universe, in the very sense of the term, that surrounds us. Very good Mauro, congratulations.
A dear greeting.
Marco.

I just can't understand the usefulness of doing poses for 25 seconds!! in addition to making or attempting the desaturation of the Trapezium with the technique of different iso!!! it is the different times that define a kind of HDR expected to show the very violent stars of the Trapezium with the nebulae attached... the speech is simple, you have collected signal for 25 seconds and you can see it from the lack of homogeneity of the nebulae !! try to do a couple of minutes by lengthening the number of exposures and you will see that the result will be different!!! and keep iso at 800 to have an acceptable sn ratio ;-)

Thank you Marco.
Rasauq, your examination is useful but with the minitrack you can not do poses of a couple of minutes with the canvas at 200 mm (maybe you could!). So either I settle like that or I have to take a different astro-pursuer... But being novice I don't want to spend a lot of money doing 5-6 sessions a year as an astro.

well if you don't psi can stretch the pose with a 200 mm. try shortening the focal point 8-) with a 100 mm. you could safely do poses in the order of 1.30 minutes which is already so much compared to the miserable 25 seconds ;-) plus Orion at 100 mm. it's more spectacular because in addition to the wider field you would collect more reflection nebulae that is in the Constellation, I'm talking about IFN which in that area is very present 8-) even with an 85 mm. wouldn't hurt 8-)
