La Autobleu fu fondata a Parigi nel 1950 da Maurice Mestivier e Roger Lepeytre per produrre componenti per rendere più brillanti le prestazioni delle Renault 4CV. Sulla meccanica di questa vettura nel 1953 la Autobleu presentò l'unico modello di sua produzione: una piccola e lussuosa coupé progettata in collaborazione con Ghia, a Torino in Italia, e dotata di un motore di 747 cm3 erogante 25 cavalli che faceva raggiungere alla vettura la velocità di circa 125 chilometri orari. Ne furono costruite circa 60 ed attualmente ne dovrebbero essere ancora esistenti una decina. In seguito fu prodotta pure una piccolissima serie di go-kart. Forte di questa esperienza... e sempre nel 1953... fu deciso di allestire una vettura adatta a partecipare alla prestigiosa 1000 Miglia e così nacque la 750 Mille Miles. Tale vettura… che reca sul telaio il n. 195475-4… fu presentata nel 1954 ed in quell'anno… come nel successivo 1955… gareggiò alla 1000 Miglia condotta da Jean Bianchi. Era stata progettata dall'ingegnere aerospaziale Marcel Riffard e carrozzata in alluminio presso la Carrosserie G. T. R. Dal progetto iniziale il motore di 750 cm3 era stato portato a 950 cm3 potendo così sviluppare 70 cavalli. Tale propulsore era montato in posizione centrale dietro la cabina di pilotaggio. Nel 1956 la 750 Mille Miles partecipò anche alla 12 Ore di Reims dove sull'intera gara mantenne una velocità media superiore ai 170 chilometri orari. Della 750 Mille Miles ne fu costruita una sola… questa visibile in questa fotografia... che qui compare restaurata e riportata a come partì, sabato 30 aprile, nell'edizione della 1000 Miglia del 1955 con il numero di gara 036. Nel 1958 la Autobleu cessò la sua attività. La fotografia qui visibile fu scattata nottetempo con l'utilizzo del lampeggiatore Nikon SB-900.
