Nel 1931 la Bentley entrò a far parte della Rolls Royce e la Bentley 3,5 Litre fu la prima vettura prodotta dopo l'acquisizione. La Derby Sport venne prodotta dal 1933 al 1937 ed era dotata di un motore Rolls Royce con 6 cilindri in linea che essendo stato potenziato erogava 110 cavalli di potenza che facevano raggiungere alla vettura i 145 chilometri orari di velocità massima. Equipaggiata con un cambio di velocità con 4 marce avanti più la retromarcia la vettura deve il nome Derby alla città inglese dove era locato lo stabilimento di produzione.
