Nella parte orientale della foresta del Cansiglio è pieno di cavità naturali, grotte e inghiottitoi, molte di queste (come ad esempio quella ritratta nelle foto) sono accatastate nel Catasto regionale delle grotte altre sono ancora nascoste e in attesa di esplorazione. L'imbocco di questa grotta ricoperta dal verde muschio e baciata dal flebile sole ottombrino mi hanno fatto sognare di essere nel magico mondo de Il Signore degli Anelli.
