Lago piccolo Monticchio. I laghi di Monticchio si trovano nella riserva del Vulture in Basilicata, precisamente al posto del cratere del Monte Vulture, antico vulcano ormai spento. Questi due laghi vulcanici, uno più grande e l'altro più piccolo, rappresentano uno scenario imperdibile e suggestivo. Noti appunto come lago piccolo e lago grande, questi specchi d'acqua differiscono tra loro in quanto a dimensione e colore: il primo tra il verdastro e l'azzurro in base ai vari riflessi, il secondo più grande è di una tinta che si avvicina molto al verde oliva.
