Mi trovo nel mezzo di un groviglio di anime mentre inseguo un richiamo, che come un mantra, mi spinge dove il cielo non è più visibile e dove ogni colore sembra estinguersi. Non esistono ombre o forse è tutta un'ombra quella che sto oltrepassando. Dove sono i suoni? Più avanzo e più il mondo si consuma davanti a me. Rimangono le stalattiti vegetali, antiche tracce immobili e apparentemente prive d'anima, che come ragnatele abbandonate descrivono l'oppressione del momento. Ambigue figure sembrano sghignazzare al mio passaggio e l'unica maniera per non farsi cogliere da turbe mentali è quella di diventare come loro. Mi avvicino così a un tronco, assicuro il kayak a una radice aerea e scendo. L'acqua maleodorante della palude arriva a coprire le cosce, la sento poi premere attorno alla vita… Il fondo instabile e melmoso continua a cedere, i piedi sono ormai bloccati e sprofondano lentamente. Non mi dimeno, ho la sensazione che tutto stia andando finalmente al proprio posto in questo ambiente delirante. La pressione dell'acqua è sempre più forte attorno alle gambe ed è come se dal basso una presenza misteriosa volesse soggiogarmi. Comincio poi a dimenticarmi del mio corpo e persino di ciò che mi circonda. Invecchierò qui, aggrappato a questo dolce incubo.
