Il grande Giovannino Guareschi definiva la Pianura Padana "...quella fetta di terra grassa e piatta che sta tra il fiume e il monte, tra il Po e l'Appennino. Nebbia densa e gelata l'opprime d'inverno, d'estate un sole spietato picchia a martellate, furibondo, sui cervelli della gente..." Insomma la Pianura Padana, soprattutto nella Bassa, non è molto fotogenica. D'inverno nebbia e foschia la fanno da padrone; in estate l'afosa umidità stende quel velo lattiginoso che rende quasi sempre impossibile vedere il cielo "veramente azzurro". Ma, qualche volta, anche noi della Bassa possiamo lustrarci gli occhi di fronte a spettacoli come questo.
