Monte Frumento delle Concazze è uno dei crateri avventizi più grandi ed imponenti dell'intero comprensorio etneo. Situato a 2.151 metri sul livello del mare, sorge in un punto davvero suggestivo dal punto di vista paesaggistico. Infatti dalla sua base, in epoche più recenti alla sua formazione, si è creata una frattura da cui sono poi nati i Monti Sartorius (alcuni dei quali sono visibili in basso a sinistra). Per cui si gode di una vista unica in cui svetta Monte Frumento e alla sua base una bottoniera di altri coni vulcanici si estende in direzione del mare. Le sue pendici sono colonizzate dalla betulle, dalle graminacee (in cui si distinguono i ciuffi di festuca, poa, astragalo e tanaceto) e dai pini larici.
