é nata la prima Nigella.... stack di 20 scatti...La Nigella sativa, detta comunemente cumino nero, è una pianta annuale della famiglia delle Ranunculaceae, originaria del sud-ovest asiatico, da non confondere con il Bunium persicum, anch'esso chiamato cumino nero. Il seme viene utilizzato come una spezia. Ha un sapore amaro e pungente con un debole odore di fragole. Viene utilizzato principalmente per la preparazione di liquori, caramelle e dolci in genere. Nella cucina mediorientale trova posto nelle ricette di dolci tipici e di biscotti tradizionali; spesso viene usato anche per insaporire e ricoprire particolari tipi di pane (la varietà di pane naan chiamato Peshawari naan), o come decorazione nelle insalate. L'olio di nigella è usato negli Stati Uniti come integratore dietetico e può essere tranquillamente consumato anche sul pane. È l'ingrediente principale di una bevanda al gusto di cola. Era conosciuta e apprezzata già nell'antichità: un ritrovamento ittita risalente circa al 1650 a.C. ha rivelato resti di miele e di semi di nigella. Per quanto riguarda gli antichi Egizi sono stati ritrovati i suoi semi in diversi siti archeologici (nella tomba del faraone Tutankhamon, per esempio, erano presenti delle anfore colme di olio di nigella). Sebbene il suo esatto ruolo nella cultura egiziana sia a noi sconosciuto, questi ritrovamenti ci dicono che i semi e l'olio della pianta sono stati attentamente selezionati per accompagnare il faraone dopo la vita e, quindi, dovevano avere un ruolo rilevante nella società.

I had collected some dry plants from a pruning inside a monastery French a few years ago... on the way back in the lavender period....
The beautiful shape of this flower once dried to make us some perch had hit me...
I had planted a few seeds in a pot but a little late... and a hailstorm had given the coup de grace...!!!
The thing went into oblivion... like having scattered some of them in a flowerbed in the garden...
