Nice photo and great explanation. In 2017 in Senja I witnessed a coronal aurora with a kp 8 and it was impressive, especially for the speed with which it moved.

@Federico: I'm glad you appreciate the caption! :-) p.s. Have you seen the Pana 12 that jewel? ;-)
@Toffa: kp8?? :-o It must be amazing! I must say, however, that I have seen very nice shows even during nights when the kp was given low, 1 or 2

@Toffa: kp8?? Eeeek!!! It must be amazing! I must say, however, that I have seen very nice shows even during nights when the kp was given low, 1 or 2

Absolutely! Apart from that episode he did little or nothing then. Let's say the best auroras were enjoyed in northern Russia in those days... the peak came just before sunset alas!

Yes a jewel, but I would be interested in a comparison with the Voigtlander 10.5 mm. :-D

heheh, rightly, would be a nice comparison because they are the two fast wide-angles of the 8-) system I had them both and I would have some material to write an article, I should just find the time that is always in short

@Sergio: thank you, very nice! :-)
@Andrea: yes, the aurora gives unique emotions, both while waiting for it to manifest itself, which can be a wait for even days, and when it finally tears through the darkness with its colors and its spectacle! :-)
