Nel viaggio effettuato in Kashmir, Zanskar e Ladakh di un annetto fa, la prima meta era Srinagar, dove abbiamo dormito in tradizionali houseboat lungo il lago. Al mattino presto, molto prima dell'alba, siamo montati in barca dirigendoci verso il mercato galleggiante del lago Dal, dove mercanti su imbarcazioni tipiche vendono verdura, spezie, fiori e quant'altro. E' stata sicuramente una bella esperienza, ma è andando verso il mercato che si è presentata una bellissima scena, quasi surreale. Nelle nebbie mattutine, nel silenzio e pace dei piccoli meandri del lago, un anziano signore vestito completamente di bianco attraversa uno dei molti ponti in legno pericolanti, specchiandosi perfettamente sull'acqua sottostante. Ho dovuto aprire il diaframma più che potevo, con tempi più che al limite (eravamo in barca e stavamo percorrendo il canale). Ancora oggi rimane uno dei momenti più belli e significativi del viaggio.
