The master of the mountains... sent on September 22, 2019 (20:34) by Nordend4612. 8 comments, 570 views.

1/1600 f/5.0, ISO 80, hand held.

Critiche e commenti graditi. Ciao! Davide

Hello David,
you really found a great setting for the "master of the mountains"!! ;-) in fact, even its posture seems to support the title you have chosen. ;-) Congratulations!! :-)

Thank you Ermanno! I chose the title precisely because of the pose and the roiccione on which it was placed. Everything was quiet to look at us sometimes and sometimes the mists rising.
He was at his house and you could see... glad you liked it!
Thank you for your passing and appreciation.

I also really like it because it's the genre I love.
I would have seen it well even with the ibex in the third bass of dx.
Don't take it as a criticism, far from me...

Thank you for passage and appreciation Bon007 but mostly thank you for the technical tip. I'll tell you, I had thought about it too but with the g15 the zoom is limited and I could not set it properly. I preferred to stay wider.

I understand... I used to go to mountains with the reflex around my neck... now I've folded into a G16, much lighter

I understand, even if it depends on the context in which you move... for certain trips it is more the ease and convenience of using the equipment than the quality for its own sake.
I am satisfied with the results.
You did well to take the g16, it's a great Canon series! Hello ;-)

There are those who take photos of Wild scenes with lures (maybe alive) to attract predators..... sadness and sorrow.
Then I see this animal dominating the mountainous horizon, what a wonderful scenery!!!! Beautiful, you good and probably also lucky. Instead, I consider the frame as you chose it perfectly: it give the idea of how great the scenario on which "he" reigns!! I admire you for the whole complex of your shots.

Thank you very much for this beautiful OldLigure comment. Personally I like to portray what I see, trying to convey the emotions that a scenario like the one above raises me. I don't really like "building photos" except those of urban landscape where precision and attention to detail can make a difference.
In the mountains I love to shoot thinking about small paintings or "pioneering"-like representations of Alpine reality... that ibex, taken in that pose, with that weather and in that place really made me think of its majesty and its perfect integration into that scenario. I was very lucky, do not happen to find a similar context already beautiful and ready. I'm really very honored with your admiration, thank you very much!. Greetings and a good week. David ;-)
