How do you understand ... ;-) ;-) ;-) I do not know if you saw one of my test pictures of the night sky at 360. Photos and links are in the gallery here on the forum in my profile.
With Juza and another friend we went on Parecellara here in Piacenza. Beautiful place, starry night, technically I had no problem ... but the light coming from the plain I was almost shocked ...! Inccredibile, then to Milan, the sky was almost clear.
I had never seen such a thing, and then ... I understand.

_elio_ .... You know I've just read my mind.
Just as we were there on Parcellara said with Juza and CarloTaglia said in a joking way: to turn off all the light of the Po valley it would take a blackout like the one a few years ago ...
I did not expect the depth of the darkness of the desert of Namibia, but in fact from the Po Valley in the evening you can tan ...

Years ago when I was small for passion I have visited many times the Astronomical Observatory of Merate (LC) ... and wonder, but it will also be difficult to observe the stars with all this light ...

Mark you, I saw your views. The black-out would be needed, sometimes luckily just a nice fog in the plains and over the sky much improved. Do you think this site is what we use in the winter for astrophotography! However it is not as bad as it seems, at least when there are no veils. Some pictures of my gallery are made from here (for ese. Pleiades): you just need to work a little 'more, but it's better than home.
The lights are closer to those of Biella, but to the left, right next to the edge and on the horizon, the yellow illumination is the area of ??Malpensa.

a greeting

Although disturbing for an amateur, the photo is beautiful. But when you decide to return the Apennines? The sky is really the best!

Thanks Lorenzo!

So, when did you decide to return the Apennines

Well, by the time you do not go nor the Apennines, or elsewhere! Are rimless, as you have seen. We would love to be with you once, but it is often difficult to move that much, we already find it hard to go to the Val d'Aosta or Zegna, in fact, that it is only an hour from home! But I hope that we can at one time or the other to move more, it's always nice to have fields with many amateur astronomers. And then if there is need, there is always someone who can build yourself on the fly for a bar counter! ;-)

hello!
