1/800 f/5.6, ISO 100, hand held. Namib-Naukluft Park, Namibia.

I understand your perception very well.
when you enter the desert ... you get lost ... it's a reunion...
l nothing, nothing ... the purest and most untouched nature only the breath accompanies the mind and the soul ...
there you get lost in front of so much beauty ... of its colors, the ochre color of the sand, the contrast of the sky, a superb and silent nature, only the melody of the wind... you perceive, you listen ...
and the awareness of being there...
what a wonder
Biz

Beautiful place, you were near Swakopmund/Sandwich Harbour? There were years ago and I carry it in my heart, one of the most beautiful places ever seen (along with all the Namib)

Yes, Francis, I was right in that area. For me, too, a place of the heart.

Great, great. I've been in the desert as a kid with my own several times, then, since I take pictures, never again. I have to go back!

Nice thought expressed in caption and how to disagree.
The charm of the desert I think is an extension of African sickness.
Silences, noises, smells, colors, flavors, stars, desert remain in the heart and soul.
Congratulations for this pastel-coloured image, with the charming soft dunes
