Con questo scatto non ho inteso solamente documentare la sensazione di pace e tranquillità che caratterizzano questo particolare luogo, dovuti alla assenza di traffico veicolare, ma anche il progressivo stato di abbandono che negli anni coinvolge tante unità abitative che restano disabitate. Anche se comprensibile per le evidenti difficoltà di mobilità che canali e ponti comportano, resta nel cuore di chi la visita l'amarezza di vedere quelle case, un tempo abitate e con le loro facciate dipinte a vivaci colori, ora con porte e finestre chiuse, intonaci ammalorati, colori sbiaditi od addirittura scomparsi e ruggine su inferriate e serramenti metallici in genere. E questo succede non solo negli angoli più periferici, ma anche nelle zone più frequentate, come in questo caso proprio ai piedi di uno dei ponti e dei punti più visitati e fotografati del luogo.
