Nice image with good compo and use of DoF. Great with the little critter on the edge of the crack.

A pity from the harsh light reflections.
A pano would work nicely here when you cut off the lower part. Then you get rid of the reflections and also there goes more attention to the little insect. Just my opinion ;-)

I've never thought to cut the lower part: I Know That the reflections are the problem in this image (I used the Canon MT24-EX).

Pano looks better.

The MT-24EX is a good macro flash when you get your diffusion right.
Without diffusion the light is way to bright and harsh most of the time.

I use this flash with my MP-E65mm and I've spent some time trying out different diffusing materials and set-ups. Nice job in the wintertime or with bad weather.
