Rebeccu è una frazione del paese di Bonorva, in provincia di Sassari. In epoca giudicale, intorno al 1300, era un importante centro del Feudo del Regno di Arborea. Con i suoi 400 abitanti era il centro più importante e popolato della zona. “Rebeccu, Rebecchei da 'e trinta domos non movei” (trad. “Che Rebeccu non superi mai le trenta abitazioni”). La maledizione delle trenta case è una delle leggende che si raccontano da queste parti. A lanciarla fu la principessa Donoria, figlia del Re Beccu, quando venne cacciata dal paese perché considerata una strega. Un'altra leggenda vuole che qui ci fosse il castello dove si sposò Eleonora d'Arborea con Brancaleone Doria. A partire dal '400, a causa probabilmente di pestilenze e carestie, inizia la decadenza di Rebeccu. Col passare degli anni e dei secoli, Rebeccu viene progressivamente abbandonato e l'ultimo censimento del 2007 registra un solo abitante. Le stradine interne e alcune delle abitazioni sono state recentemente restaurate e oggi Rebeccu, grazie al suo insolito fascino, è sede di alcune manifestazioni, come il Rebeccu Film Festival, oltre a ospitare un ristorante di cucina tipica. Ma per la maggior parte dell'anno, nonostante i restauri e i tentativi di valorizzazione, conserva ancora il fascino dei vecchi villaggi abbandonati.
