Siamo nuovamente sulla piana di fronte al vulcano Teide: soggetto della foto è la Viperina Rossa (Echium wildpretii), pianta endemica delle Canarie. La sottospecie Wildpretii cresce solo nel Parco Nazionale del Teide. Qui siamo di fronte al suo scheletro legnoso che può raggiungere i 3m di altezza, la fioritura è biennale, trovarla piena di fiori rossi quindi è un evento piuttosto raro e al contempo imperdibile!
