battlements dippers sent on August 06, 2018 (18:35) by Ruggero Casse. 13 comments, 743 views.

Thanks Pierpaolo for the visit and the words; I proposed the NL because I realized that there was actually not much color in the context of the water jump and then the battlements, seen during their fast and frantic movements, they simply fill black and white. The contrast of the tones has brought out the three-dimensionality of the water that is the thing that, personally, strikes me more than anything in the picture, while not distracting the vision of the subject.
A greeting Roger

I first read carefully the text attached to the TU profile that I share in toto. I find myself in every step and I emphasize how often on the forums these aspects are hardly ever considered in the overall evaluation of the image. In this case I find it courageous to propose a B&W version of a shot to avifauna like this, even if the setting in this situation is chromatically quite homogeneous. Very well executed in its typical setting between jumps, waterfalls, mosses and branches. Gorgeous and addictive description attached. Very well Ruggero.
Bye Josh ;-)

Thanks Gios of the beautiful words;
I realize sometimes to be misplaced with my descriptions especially in a photographic scope like this. Many people reminded me that: "The photos are like jokes: if you have to explain it means that they are not beautiful...." And I am very daccorso with all of them!
Fortunately this site has always given voice to all; even to those who, like me, is still trying to pull out a photo that is told by itself and, I do not hide that, I really like to lose a few minutes to tell, to all those who take the trouble to peek And between the lines, those simple as exhilarating feelings that urge me to capture an image. ;-)
