at 14mm, Posa B f/2.8, ISO 1600, tripod.

Vicino Pieia, un minuscolo paesino in provincia di Pesaro e Urbino alle pendici del monte Nerone a 650 metri di quota, un piccolo sentiero porta ad un meraviglioso arco di roccia naturale incastonato tra la vegetazione ed altre formazioni rocciose. Qualcuno ipotizza che qualche era geologica fa fosse una grande grotta a cui è crollato il soffitto. Da tempo mi era stato descritto questo luogo, così con alcuni carissimi amici di avventure notturne il 12 luglio abbiamo raggiunto il posto, con le intenzioni di immortalare il nucleo della Via Lattea proprio dentro l'arco. Il luogo si è dimostrato un po' più inospitale di quanto ci aspettassimo, tanto da rendere difficile trovare un buon punto di ripresa per le nostre foto. Le alte pareti rocciose che ci circondavano lasciavano apprezzare solo una piccola parte di cielo allo zenit, oltre a quanto si osservava attraverso l'arco, della stella Polare per allineare gli astroinseguitori Minitrack.... nemmeno l'ombra! Ci siamo affidati così alle bussole ed alle livelle, fortunatamente con discreti risultati. L'immagine che vi propongo, tra le decine che ho ripreso, è l'emblema della serata: una finestra sul tempo, che parte dalle caverne che ci circondavano fino ad arrivare alle esplorazioni spaziali che il progresso permette nell'epoca in cui viviamo. In mezzo c'è lui, l'arco: uno Stargate naturale che separa o unisce nello stesso momento epoche storiche distanti milioni di anni e che gli uomini possono apprezzare solo per un piccolo istante.
