Con il tempo, anche se non è passata del tutto la libidine di avvicinare il più possibile gli animali..., ho cominciato asad apprezzare sempre di più le foto ambientate e, mentre scattavo, sapevo già che questa sarebbe stata una delle mie foto preferite dell' intero safari.... Questa leonessa, dopo aver annusato fugacemente la carcassa poco mangiata di una grande giraffa, ha iniziato a correre velocemente tra l'erba alta della savana puntando decisamente questo albero di salsicce su cui è salita con grande agilità fermandosi a scrutare l' orizzonte. Per diversi minuti ha fissato in direzione di dove il giorno prima, ad un paio di km di distanza avevamo visto 5 cuccioli dormire nel mezzo di un intricato cespuglio e poi è parita in quella direzione a gran velocità fino a quando non ne abbiamo perso le tracce; ci aspettavamo che sarebbe tornata con i rinforzi ma invece non si è più rivista, evidentemente, gli odori che aveva sentito, non la lasciavano tranquilla...
