Beautiful image, it makes the idea of ??how hard the winter is for these magnificent creatures, especially when the snow is unlike the last 2-3 winters.
Good, congrats.

I made a similar one last week in Val di Rabbi going up to Stablasolo, there is a lot of wildlife at low altitude in search of food and unfortunately also a carcass ...

Thanks Stephen and Cisla, is yes this is definitely a normal winter so there are many herbivores (also accomplices the last cold seasons very clementi) that leave us the skin, but this is part of the natural cycle, it is much better for carnivores this 'year.

Naturalistic document appropriate to the harsh winter period in the mountain environment. The exhaustive footnote, which I totally agree with, is perfectly integrated into the context. As always, man thinks of disrupting the natural rules, both for good and for bad. Nice work Marco.
bye gios ;-)

Very interesting and realistic document, really a bad time especially for roe deer, I remember Marco when a few years ago, in the summer after a winter with lots of snow I found you at the swamp Paludei is you told me that you had used the containers to put the carcasses of deer dead from hunger, two years later your colleague told me that the number of deer had already returned almost to the levels of before.

Hi Andrea, yes deer is a strong species, and in a few years it recovers mortality due to an inclement winter. Thanks for the ride.
