Uno scorcio di Militello in Val di Catania. Una cittadina che si trova sulle estreme propaggini settentrionali dei monti Iblei, a 45 km da Catania e 38 km da Caltagirone. Per il grande valore del suo patrimonio monumentale (è ricca di chiese, musei, monasteri, palazzi e fontane) nel 2002 è stata inserita, insieme ad altre sette città tardo barocche della Val di Noto, nella lista dei siti dichiarati dall'UNESCO Patrimonio dell'umanità. In questa foto sono stato fortunato perché le condizioni climatiche e di luce erano particolari: una nuvola alle mie spalle schermava la luce che doveva illuminare l'Etna, più in basso una cappa di umidità/foschia che però non arrivava a lambire Militello ma retsava confinata in una zona mediana tra l'Etna e Militello; la cittadina che invece godeva di una illuminazione favorevole, sempre per via dei giochi di luce creati dalle nubi.
