What remains of the journeys of hope! sent on January 13, 2018 (0:36) by Giuseppe Bertino. 30 comments, 1286 views.

at 20mm, 1/640 f/5.6, ISO 100, hand held.

This is also a "strong" document.
If I can afford to express a personal opinion, I would say that I do not like the ship cut right and that I find more details of the other photos taken from closer, but it is only my consideration.

Hello.
Mauro

Hello Paul, yes Paul fully share your thought ... I cut the boat because there was more garbage set aside and I did not like ... I was wrong, but at least I learned that the next time in situations like this you have to go back at home with a couple of extra shots.
Thank you for the sincerity!

Beyond the political discourse that I do not want to talk about, I find it beautiful as a setting -composition and colors, better than the other 2 photos

Thanks Sergio, however, the effect that would have done with the whole boat and the "trash" we will never know.

Also this beautiful, I thought they would have done a different end, this boat. I'm just thinking about how many deaths they've caused.Bravo Giuseppe

Janncuia, who does it by profession will have already documented the subject extensively, I have only taken some pictures.
Anyway I'm glad you liked it! :-)

Simone, is also my favorite, the vignetting I added it in post, I do it almost in all the photos.
Thanks for stopping !!

Darius are very old boats and could not do a different end, the dead were caused by people who think only of god money.
Thanks for stopping by.

I like it. The composition with the right boat taken at 45 °, creates a diagonal flight line that naturally leads to the second on the SN. Therefore the composition is balanced.
I also like the contrast of colors between the lower part of the shot (warm colors) and the blue ones of the sky. I would have avoided the vignetting (if inserted in pp).
A greeting.

Thanks Sodium of the technical comment made, the vignetting was added in post ... :-( unfortunately I can not do without it, I have to go to a detoxification center by vignetting.

Excellent image of reportage that indirectly tells the drama of emigration. I also like the hard light condition you found

Nice shot, too, given the topic, I would have taken b / w, but it is a matter of taste, however, excellent work. Hello,
Antonio. :-)

A beautiful document and, considering the topic, the light thumping is good for us, this is not a poem, it is a tragic reality and hard, unfortunately "used" and abused by many.

Paul, the topic is current and very vast and without any control other than that of the accounts (current accounts) of those who exploit the situation!
Hello Joseph.
