Generalmente dietro ad una delle immagini che propongo c'è sempre un'avventura reale, che amo descrivere con qualche breve nota, ma in questo caso l'immagine è stata creata per gioco, con un paio di scatti, ripensando alle parole di un vecchio cacciatore di volpi. Erano i mille pensieri che affollavano la sua mente durante le lunghe ore di appostamento nelle fredde notti invernali rischiarate dalla luna piena che, presso un baraccotto ai margini del villaggio, trascorreva da solo, determinato ad intercettare le escursioni notturne dell'astuto predatore dalla lunga coda fulva. Immerso nelle immagini che il suo racconto evocava alla mia fantasia ecco uscire questa lepre variabile: mentre la volpe, tra l'abbaiare dei cani, si aggira furtiva tra i pollai a ridosso del villaggio e Francois dorme accoccolato sula sedia, con il fucile che spunta dal finestrotto, lei, come un bianco fantasma, insegue inosservata, quanto frettolosa, la luna che corre sulla china innevata, alle spalle del villaggio.
