Step in Tsavo sent on October 13, 2012 (18:26) by Alessio Carelli. 6 comments, 1324 views.

, 1/1600 f/5.6, ISO 400, hand held. Tsavo Ovest National Park, Kenya. Specie: Loxodonta africana

Henry Thanks for the ride! I should ... try to cut away all the sky to see what comes out, and the idea I do not mind ...
For the color was nice even natural, but so I sent something more .. I'm happy you like it! :-)

A beautiful family and good performance of the BN.
After the terrible news of recent days coming from Tsavo just glad to see a school in a quiet location ......

Thanks for the ride and Memy comment!
I ... I've also heard the bad news ... 11 elephants killed, is defined as the largest mass murder in the history of Kenya :-(
it is necessary to raise awareness and do something to prevent this from happening! But how? Members of the IAEA ... I know who work for the anti-poaching rangers and train, but does not seem to be enough ...

The rangers usually really make their best but the areas to be monitored are very large and in addition the main problem is usually that they are armed with rifles very old and the poachers have that Soarano Kalashnikov shots in bursts to cuinegli firefights have easily the best ..... though honestly impresses me about firefights ........
What leaves you stunned Tsavo is a tourist destination consilidata that generates a lot of money and so far it is always worth the principle that when a live animal for neighboring communities is worth more than a dead one, there are no problems ...
The fact is that it seems that now, with some supporter, the poachers are from other countries, both in Kenya and in Tanzania say they are Somalis even though it has always left me puzzled ......

Yes ... you Memy, really hats off to the rangers and all those who try to do everything possible to protect the elephants (... and the rhinoceros, for which the situational is perhaps even more dramatic).
That 's what I meant too ... Make it clear that, in addition to being a good safeguard that surrounds us, it is also a way for them to gain all the benefits that tourism brings ... and this could also be done by educating and sensitizing the local population and the younger generation, which probably is already ...
Then if the poachers are actually only the Somalis do not know this ...
