Very beautiful vertical composition in this "narrow" creek
Also great is the movement of the clouds Molto bella la composizione verticale in questa "stretta" insenatura Ottimo anche il movimento delle nuvole |

Great! The vertical format really lends itself and suits the subject very well. |

Beautiful cutting vertically and pdr, beautiful even the trails of clouds and the saturated / pastel colors of the blue sky!
I want to make an annotation but maybe it's my monitor, it seems to me that the left side (but also the right side, but less) of the cliff is not perfectly in focus and / or sharp. Maybe it's due to the fact that you have closed the diaphragm too much and for those closures your lens loses so much at the edges of the image, another explanation the focus was made too close, right under where there are pebbles and failed to take advantage of the full focus and sharpness using the hyperfocal. Another and last possibility during shooting the tripod has moved slightly. Overall a good view but to review and understand why not that sharpness on the cliff.

Thanks Timk2! :-)
Thanks Sar10! You know I can not see the lack of clarity on the rocks both left and right? If anyone else sees you please tell me. In any case, I thank you for your note. :-) Grazie Timk2! Grazie Sar10! |

The foreground looks sharper than the rocks further back because they are of higher contrast and are individual pebbles. And because they are much bigger in proportion to the rest of the image. The rest of the image looks a little softer may well be to do with the mist/spray of the weather conditions. Lastly, f22 is always the softest aperture on any lens. The physical rules of diffraction state such. My current Nikkor 10-24mm DX is unusable at f22. Even opening up to f18, f16 or even f20 can improve the overall sharpness considerably. Hyperfocal manual focusing can improve the depth of focus (2/3rds behind focus point, 1/3rd in front of). This knowledge has been learned by me from 20 plus years of ultrawide landscape photography. |

" Thanks for your comment, Timk2. Yes, I know the problem of the diaphragm f22 with a 20 megapixels FF sensor. I use it to get long exposure times without adding ND filters to my lens. I always use the hyperfocal too. |
