con Canon EF 1.4x III, 1/2000 f/6.3, ISO 500, tripod. Oasi Carloforte, Italy.

Questo falco della regina ha preso quota nella gola delle scogliere di San Pietro e poi si è lanciato verso il mare aperto sfiorandomi letteralmente. Appostato in cima alla parete ho sentito il suo fruscio sopra la mia testa.

Original photo, with paws put on it seems to want to claw those who look at it.
Compliments.

Beautiful capture, this hawk already beautiful of his, seems to enter the screen, beautiful photo with the light that I think illuminates the best part of the subject by highlighting it. Great picture

Excellent catch on the fly. Difficult shot for the frontal potion of the subject. Excellent light, beautiful sharpness. Shot well done, congratulations, hello.

Nice picture! Focusing with the approaching subject is always critical but you have really grasped the moment!
Excellent capture! (Too bad the multiplier, maybe you would not have cut the wings)
Greetings alby

Thank you so much to everyone. Bringing home this photo was a surprise for me too, given the frontal approach and the speed with which the hawk flew over me. In practice 2/3 seconds available and of the 5 shots of the burst this is the only one in focus. Alby, the original file contains all the wings, but I wanted to crop because I liked to give the idea of ??how I got there. I was testing for the first time the 1 DX, and with the 7D2 it would hardly have been possible to either frame it or stop it in focus. Greetings, Giorgio.

Congratulations magnificent picture. The light enhances the truly particular framing.
Given the speed they usually move and the direction .... you managed to make a great shot. San Pietro is always a magical place. Hi Stefano
