You're right, Antonio, Etna is always a charm, and you say one that goes there often (I'll be back next weekend)! :-) I like this shot a lot for how you composed it and for the atmosphere you were able to give to the scene, but I would be curious to know what you took and exif, because I see a very clear chromatic aberration on the crests at the bottom then overall I do not feel very sharp. Anyway, congratulations, I like it a lot ;-)
A greeting

Raffaele

Thanks to the speakers.
Dtmix too good ;-)
Raffle the resize for the web has done a little bit of damage to that. The foreground and over half file is very sharp even at 100% of the 36mmxl of the D800 I used in this shot and it's a bit less engraved in the distant part. The high line at the sky seems to create a chromatic aberration (or maybe it is) but removing it in the post creates more damage than the other is in the whole honestly does not bother me and I do not see it so intrusive. The goal was the nikon 24-70 f2.8 to f8.
I could give a more aggressive sharpen to the web but I did not.
Thanks for the comment

the colors are really amazing.
I just do not like blue on the mountain in the background, which I would desaturate.
to make the wilder image then I would clone the palettes.
nice picture.
compliments

Montalbano :-D :-D :-D thanks also to you. Honestly I had thought about desaturating blue but I love the contrasts between warm colors and cool colors. Pallets I prefer to leave them ;-)

A couple of tweaks (if you want) and it becomes a wonder, congratulations!

The shot is really admirable for both components and colors, even if the latter, for me who have almost grown on Etna, I know that they are not so hot, however, in all sincerity the colors so slightly emphasized (especially on the vegetation ) I find them equally functional making the photo view very, very nice, and in the overall I really like a lot ... Congratulations .. ;-) ;-)

Except there was a choice in post because the scene was very flat. Maybe I exaggerated but the "I saw" so ;-)

Hello Antonio,
there was a choice in post because the scene was very flat
yes yes I understand it perfectly, these scenarios are not easy to capture, and it is true that in photos tend to be flat chromatically, if of great beauty if you admire live ....... :-)
