In un certo senso questa è una immagine costruita, costruita nel senso che l'ho pensata, e quindi realizzata intorno all'idea di avere in singolo piano perfettamente (o quasi) a fuoco immerso in un mare magno rosso, sfocatissimo, e laddove il tutto risultasse amalgamato dal fatto di essere praticamente monocromatico.
Da qui quindi la scelta, di fatto obbligata, del 180 macro in luogo del più comune 100 perché solo questo poteva garantirmi la necessaria compressione prospettica, e con essa anche quella ristretta fetta di sfondo che mi avrebbero consentito di eliminare quasi del tutto gli spazi vuoti e, peggio, anche cromaticamente diversi, esistenti fra i numerosi papaveri presenti sulla scena.
