Canon A1 con NewFD 50mm f 1,8. Berlino prima settimana di Agosto 1987. Manifestazione antimuro in tre fasi: manifestazione stradale con discorso di fronte al muro, congressuale e discorso di chiusura. Furono tre giorni di "battaglie campali" contro 400 antagonisti arrivati nottetempo da Berlino Est e i circa 1500 già presenti nella Berlino Ovest, in una città militarizzata a terra e in cielo (presenza continua di elicotteri militari spesso in volo stazionario, volti alla parte Est in osservazione) dove si percepiva come se potesse scoppiare il finimondo in ogni istante. Facevo parte della compagine organizzativa ed ero incaricato di fotografare l'evento ma da una posizione defilata, riprendendo anzitutto eventuali movimenti ai margini. Lì tutti fotografavano tutti e non per giornalismo... La foto attiene al discorso di chiusura. Non potei conservare le negative delle riprese della manifestazione e degli scontri tra la polizia e gli antagonisti. In verità anche questa foto non dovrei averla, ma appartiene a un rullino esposto per pochi fotogrammi, dimenticato nella fotocamera e che non consegnai... Quando, dopo averlo completato, lo sviluppai, mi accorsi delle immagini. Purtroppo le altre foto sono poco importanti, manifestazioni "amatoriali" di arti marziali e folclore orientale.
