Si tratta di una minuscola farfalla notturna, appartiene al gruppo delle Drepanidae, questa è la seconda specie che fotografo. Ci sono circa 660 specie descritte in tutto il mondo. Esse sono generalmente suddivise in tre sottofamiglie Drepaninae, Thyatirinae e Cyclidiinae. Molte specie della famiglia delle Drepanidae hanno un distintivo apice a forma di gancio all'ala anteriore. Le larve di molte specie hanno un aspetto caratteristico, si appiattiscono verso la coda e di solito riposano con la testa e la coda sollevate. Normalmente si nutrono di foglie di alberi e arbusti , e si impupano tra le foglie unite dalla seta.
