, 30 sec f/2.8, ISO 3200, tripod.

ah little curiosity: the picture was taken in a very particular way, basically I opened the hood of the car and standing on the seat I went out with the tripod on the windshield. shocks were obviously a concern to the extent that, during the shooting, standing still as a statue while in the meantime my sister from the passenger seat asked me if I could not move or I was taking! : D

thank you all! :) Anyway, the reason why I made it from the roof of the car is that I was afraid that the fence on the sides (which in the picture seems lower than it is) I obstructing the view for side shots. The initial idea was to enter the field, the problem is that being green pasture fences are electrified seriously (not like when you go out in pasture, and find the simple ribbon that gives you the maximum joggle). short cables were sufficiently significant to make me give up trying to overcome. so I decided to try the sunroof, and the results I was not disappointed at all in terms of perspective, although not a good choice in terms of personal comfort and shooting.

3200 ISO with the 40D. You did a miracle. I already see more grain in 1600 than anything else ....

eh the size of photos helps a bit 'on the first floor, the sky noise at the end is a problem that far. in post production if you have the Milky Way quite defined with the surface blur applied on a selective mask solve the problem, even without a mask really depends from case to case. ah not to mention that the luminance in camera raw from a remarkable contribution in the first place.
thanks for the ride anyway :)

All stories! In fact he went to Camporella with his girlfriend (and her sister) but as they beat nail had the brilliant idea to open the hood and look out ... From there, a true and good photographer, he pulled out the camera that you should always have with you, and gave meaning to the evening ... :-D
Really beautiful! Bravo :-)

Hello,
sorry, I'm very attracted to this type of photo, but I have no experience and would like to bring a couple of questions:
At what time (approximately) and what time of year you took the picture?
In what direction is the milky way so visible?
I ask you to try to understand what could be the time and a place suitable enough in my area, allowing an unobstructed view can try a shot like yours.
Thank you.

Fabrizio
