Assolutamente si. Con la 40D (che possiedo), se si alzano gli iso in pieno giorno per aumentare i tempi di scatto e si espone bene, è fruibile fino 1000-1250iso, forse anche 1600 ma non mi sbilancio.
La lente senz'altro non ti aiuta, diciamo che magari per il compleanno/natale potresti valutare di cambiarlo con un 100-400 o se ti mette male con il budget con un sigma 150-500 usato (circa 600€). Vendendo il tuo, soprattutto con la seconda ipotesi, non dovresti aggiungere moltissimo.
